Unfortunately, everybody’s favorite looksmaxxing influencer is jailmaxxing. On March 27, 2026, Braden Eric Peters, better known as Clavicular, was detained on misdemeanor charges and was accused of forcing two women to fight each other and proceeding to record it. Additionally, He fired multiple gunshots at an alligator in the Florida Everglades.
While some would deem this crazy behavior as irrational, Trevor Easton ‘29 said, “It’s really sad to see what the internet can do to such an insecure man. I wonder what pushed him over the edge?” Easton suggests Clavicular’s behavior stems from his insecurity rather than malicious intent.
Clavicular almost constantly talks about his use of peptides. Peptides are synthetic versions of naturally occurring short chains of amino acids that are used for anti-aging, improved hair/nails and body composition. Regular topical peptides that are found in items such as facial creams are safe to use. On the other hand, Clavicular specifically advertises peptide injection. These injections are known to help create hormone overstimulation but can also have health consequences for users.
However, Clavicular’s drug usage has had its consequences. In 2024, he was kicked out of his college because he was found in possession of illegal steroids. Barely two weeks after his arrest, Clavicular overdosed and had to be rushed to the hospital.
It’s obvious this is terrible, but there is a larger, overarching issue. Many people, specifically young men who are active on social media, know him and the dedicated fans know that he does ridiculous and illegal things all the time. His continuous shenanigans have desensitized everyone to what he does.
Gabriel Sanchez ‘29 said, “Most people don’t take him or any of his advice seriously; they just talk about him because his teachings of the perfect physique and the techniques are so absurd that people take it as a joke, even if he truly believes it works.”
As long as he is not dead and remains an entertaining content creator, his perception to the general public and to the people that watch him will not change. In Clavicular’s own vernacular, he’s humormaxxing so that he can statusmog the people around him while drugmaxxing.
