For 18 years, Zlicious Eatz has provided students at Loyola with a wide variety of breakfast, lunch, and snack options across its three locations. Z’s offers a range of delicious breakfast options, which are enjoyed by students in the morning.
Logan Ryan ’29 said, “The bacon pairs really well with the cream cheese, and the bagel is always toasted well.” Trevor Easton ’29 commented, “The breakfast plate is an amazing meal. I get it every Wednesday.”
Students can get something to eat at any of Z’s three locations: by Pinney Hall, by the gym, or at the new Z’s in front of Burr Hall. Tripp Harris ’26, whose favorite item from Z’s is the boxed pizza, was particularly glad about the move of the Z’s behind Burr Hall because he thought it was a safety hazard. During his freshman year, Harris was “trampled in the old Z’s behind Burr.” The move to the front of Burr Hall made the Z’s location more accessible and organized.
After talking with several people across campus, it became clear that there is a wide range of favorite snacks and meals from Z’s. Preferred snacks and drinks include Haribo gummies, AriZona iced teas, and french fries. The options available for lunch are even more vast, including pasta, chicken sandwiches, and wings. According to a poll of the student body held by The Loyalist, the top three most enjoyed items from Z’s are bowls, burritos, and fries.
There are mixed opinions about the prices for food at Z’s. When asked about the most overpriced item at Z’s, Trevor Easton ’29 shared he would “definitely have to say the Panda Express. It costs 12 dollars, while the penne pasta for 8 dollars has so much more food.”
Frank Kozakowski has a different perspective on the pricing at Z’s: “Compared to the prices at Dodger Stadium, they aren’t that bad.”
For the past 18 years, Z’s has helped contribute to the community at Loyola by providing quality food that is enjoyed by both students and faculty. With so many delicious options, it is easy to see why Z’s is a favorite place on Loyola’s campus.
