Coleman Shelton ’13, a fifth year senior at the University of Washington, is a student-athlete who majored in Sociology and graduated in 2017. Last season, Shelton started in the Peach Bowl of the College Football Playoffs against Alabama. Shelton decided to stay another year to support his team, and currently he is the starting center for the Huskies. Shelton said, “The men for others philosophy at Loyola helped me become more selfless as a person and be able to succeed through adversity and many obstacles. Also, the pride that came from being a Loyola Cub gave me confidence going into any situation knowing that I had the best educators and coaches that a person could ask for.” The Huskies are ranked 13th in the latest AP poll.
