As October kicks off, we enter the MLB playoffs, the most exciting postseason in all of sports. With talent from around the world joining America’s pastime, every player shares one goal: to be World Series champions. Among the top teams of the 2025 season, the Los Angeles Dodgers stand out. Their remarkable roster features stars like Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts, Blake Snell, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Dodgers legend Clayton Kershaw. Coming off a 93-69 season and finishing first in the National League West, the Dodgers are poised for another deep playoff run.
Passionate fan and Varsity Baseball player Wyatt Clougherty ‘26 said, “The Dodgers have a solid chance of making the World Series because their team chemistry is off the charts. They’ve been playing together so long, and the pitching is unmatched from the first guy to the last.” Head coach Dave Roberts, now in his 10th year, has led the Dodgers to nine straight playoff appearances during his tenure, aiming to guide this deep, cohesive roster to another championship.
Not everyone is convinced, however. Brock Possemato ‘28 added, “The Dodgers are good, but I don’t know if their bullpen will last the series against Toronto and their star-studded lineup.” Despite the skepticism, the Dodgers have already shown why they’re built for October.
Game three of the World Series highlighted their resilience, as they pulled off a thrilling extra-innings win that combined clutch hitting with dominant pitching, giving Los Angeles momentum heading into a series lead. With a stacked roster and a very experienced coaching staff, the Dodgers are ready to bring another parade down the streets of Los Angeles.
